General questions about PaidUp.
PaidUp can be used by most service-based businesses wishing to offer regular payment plans to their customers. Just a few examples are dog groomers, hair salons, nail bars, window cleaners, lawn care specialists and many more.
Absolutely. We offer different plans to accommodate different business sizes. Our plans are designed to grow with your business.
PaidUp works as a web-app which allows it to function like a mobile app when used on a mobile/tablet, however, the same account can also be accessed through your desktop browser which allows for greater functionality.
No. Payment collection is one of our main features, however, there are many more benefits to using PaidUp. We offer an easy to use customer management dashboard. Each of your customers will receive their own account in your bespoke customer dashboard. This allows them to see their subscription schedules, access automated invoices and update their credit card information. PaidUp’s SMS notification service can also be used to remind your customers of appointments or notify them when a job is completed.
No. PaidUp works by charging your customers card on a recurring basis rather than needing to set up mandates on their bank account. We believe this is the simplest approach for both you and your customer.
We treat your data like we do our own: with state-of-the art security. We are encrypted with Transport Layer Security / Secure Sockets Layer (TLS / SSL). Our Payments provider is audited by a PCI-certified auditor and is certified to PCI Service Provider Level 1. This is the most stringent level of certification available in the payments industry.
PaidUp does not store credit card numbers and security information. When your customer provides a credit card number, it is turned into a secure token by our credit card processing company. We only store the secure token on our systems.
Issues relating to your PaidUp Account.
The number of active customers you can have depends on the plan that you choose. Our Premium Plan allows you to have an unlimited number of customers.
Yes, each individual staff member can be added and have their own access to the dashboard. We offer easy to use reports that monitor staff performance.
Yes, you can set up text message reminders for the next scheduled item on their customer plan. You can choose how many days in advance of the date you would like it to go out.
There is no limit to the number of messages you can send, anything over your monthly allocation will be charged at 8p per text message and added to that month’s bill.
Often accounts can become restricted due to us needing to verify some further information about you or your business. You will be prompted on your dashboard to add some further information to verify your identity or additional business information. Once this information is supplied and successfully validated, your account restrictions will be removed. If you have supplied this information and are still having problems, you can contact us directly by clicking here.
Issues related to billing and invoicing.
We will collect your payment information when you first sign up, however, you will not be charged your plan fee until day 15. You will still incur your transaction fee on any transactions that are set up within the trial period. You are free to cancel at any stage within the trial period without incurring a plan fee.
You don’t have to do anything; you just continue to use PaidUp services exactly as you have been during your trial period.
PaidUp’s free trial includes access to all features that are included in the chosen plan.
There’s no contract – just pay as you go, month-to-month. You can cancel at any time. Please note that all recurring customer subscriptions will be terminated in the event of you cancelling your PaidUp account.
Yes, it’s simple to amend your plan depending on your business needs.
We will ask for your card information, however, we will not process any payment until after your free trial.
We accept all major credit cards including, Visa, Mastercard & American Express.
